We welcomed Mrs. Elizabeth Smith from Bridge of Weir as a new resident last month and we hope she is settling in and gradually getting to know the staff and, in time, all of the present residents

Staff News:
In three sessions, all members of staff are undergoing training in the moving and handling of residents when it is required.

Cook's Meetings, held each Wednesday morning at 10- 30, are held for the benefit of the cooks and all residents. They are worth attending. The cooks especially, wish to know all of our likes and dislikes in order to vary menus accordingly.

Quiz Night attendances continue to grow which proves that Susie, our quiz master, is not only popular but phrases the questions in an experienced and cute manner.

The Lighting in the Large Lounge is being renewed by electricians at present and apologies are expressed for any inconveniences.

A Concert of Scottish music was held in the large lounge on Thursday 27th
October by Ian MacGregor whom we have had on two previous occasions.

A special announcement

Professor David Flint has been appointed to the rank of Chevalier in the Ordre national de la Legion d’honneur by the President of France in recognition of his involvement in the liberation of France during the second world war.

The official ceremony is to take place on Friday 2nd September.

Congratulations David from the management, all members of staff and fellow residents.
