Visiting Wardside

Pre-arranged visits are still going ahead with some exciting news attached. Three members of friends and family are now able to attend the thirty-minute session as long as they are from no more than two households. These visits are still to be socially distanced with the appropriate PPE put in place. Please liaise with a member of staff about dates and timings and if the slot is available it will be put in the diary for you. We are hoping that indoor visits will be available soon.

Prue’s continuous care and dedication to the flower boxes on the patio has resulted in a glorious and beautiful display of colour, ensured to brighten every one’s day.

New residents:

We welcomed Grace McLennan for a weeks respite yesterday and hope she feels refreshed and recharged after her break. We are also pleased to welcome Mrs Buckland and Mrs Thirkell who will be joining Wardside house on a permeant basis. If there is anything we can do to help you settle in don’t hesitate to ask.

Activities

It brings me great joy to announce that activities are starting up again in the big lounge thanks to our lovely Mairi. These activities include a range of different topics to interest all residents and are becoming increasingly popular. All of the activities taking place are pre-arranged with social distancing in mind. For those who aren’t wanting to take part in the group activities just yet, we are still offering the usual activities that comply with social distancing. If you would like to go for a walk in the sunshine, play a board game or have your hair done please let any member of staff know. If there is anything else, you can think of that you would like to do to fill your time please let us know and we can try and make it happen. Why not sit on the patio whilst the weather continues to shine.

Staff News:

Staff are still undergoing weekly testing with all results being negative so far. Thank you for the continuous dedication you have all demonstrated by following Covid-19 rules and regulations ensuring the residents are protected to the best of your ability. This has been a tough time for us all and we appreciate all your hard work.

Now Covid regulations have lifted it means back to school for many of the Wardside house tots. We wish them a safe and happy year of learning.
