Japanese Day at Wardside House
Today, Wardside House is going Japanese for the day — and it starts with the menu.
Our kitchen team has put together a full three-course spread inspired by Japanese home cooking: Yasai Miso Shiru to start, a warm and comforting vegetable miso soup; Salmon Teriyaki to Gohan for main, grilled salmon glazed in a sweet teriyaki sauce with steamed rice and vegetables; and to finish, Chizu Keki — a light, fluffy Japanese-style cheesecake.
Theme days like this are a chance for our residents to try something new together — new smells, new flavours, a different table to sit round. It's a small change of scene, and often the start of a good conversation.
